Artificial Intelligence Usage Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Klippfy combines several third-party artificial intelligence models to automate parts of your video's processing: choosing highlight moments, generating captions, reframing, and optionally generating images and video with an AI actor as presenter, and narration with a catalog voice. Depending on the feature used, processing may be carried out via specialized external providers. This policy explains how that part of the Service works, its limits, and who is responsible for what.
1. What tasks AI performs on Klippfy
- Moment selection: a language model analyzes your video's transcript to identify the most relevant segments to turn into clips.
- Captioning: automatic caption generation from the transcript.
- Reframing / face tracking: automatic adjustment of the vertical crop of the video.
- Narrator: optional feature that generates narrated audio from your script using a voice from a predefined catalog. Klippfy does not offer voice cloning (see section 4).
- AI actor / presenter: when generating a video with AdMaker or Idea to Video, you can choose an AI actor from a predefined catalog of characters to present your content. Klippfy does not offer creating a presenter from your photo or someone else's (see section 4).
2. AI providers we use
Depending on the feature used, content may be sent to external AI providers: Google Gemini (primary engine) and OpenAI (automatic backup and the Narrator's OpenAI voices) for text analysis and clip selection; Modal for transcription (it receives the audio); fal.ai for the generation features (Generate Video, Generate Image, AdMaker, Idea to Video, Show My Product) and for the Kokoro, Inworld, and MiniMax catalog voices the Narrator can use (they receive the script text); Hive Moderation to automatically review generated results before they are delivered to you (it receives the URL of the generated result); and infrastructure providers such as Modal for rendering and for music generation models. The up-to-date detail of what data each provider receives is in section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
These providers process information under their own API terms, which generally exclude using that data to train their general-purpose models; nevertheless, we recommend reviewing their policies if a specific case concerns you. fal.ai in particular acts as a platform that runs third-party AI models — each model may have its own commercial-use conditions and restrictions, in addition to those of fal.ai as a platform. Klippfy reviews those conditions before enabling each feature for commercial use, and may disable or replace a model if its terms change in a way that is no longer compatible with how Klippfy uses it.
You never access the Gemini, OpenAI, fal.ai, or Modal APIs directly — every request first goes through Klippfy's server, which applies your plan limits, your credit balance, and the content rules of this policy before forwarding it. Those providers' credentials are never exposed to the browser or to any Klippfy API response.
3. Limitations and possible errors
AI models are not perfect. Klippfy does not guarantee that:
- the automatically chosen moments are always the most relevant or suitable for your goal;
- the generated captions are free of transcription, spelling, or timing errors;
- reframing or face tracking works correctly in every video (for example, with multiple people, low light, or fast motion);
- the voice generated by the narrator feature sounds natural in every language or is free of pronunciation errors and artifacts.
We recommend reviewing the result before publishing or distributing it. You are responsible for the final content you generate and publish with Klippfy, including checking the accuracy of captions and transcripts before use.
4. Real identity and synthetic content — specific rules
Klippfy does not offer voice cloning or the creation of a presenter from your photo or someone else's. The AI actors available in the AdMaker/Idea to Video catalog are entirely synthetic: they are not based on the photo, voice, or identity of any real person. Even so, the Service could be misused to try to generate content that impersonates someone (for example, by describing them in a prompt), so:
- Using any feature of the Service, including the text of a prompt or brief, to produce content that imitates or passes off an AI actor, a voice, or any generated result as a specific real person, without their explicit, verifiable, and prior consent, is prohibited.
- Zero-tolerance policy — not a guarantee of infallible detection — regarding use of the Service to impersonate public figures, officials, or candidates, or to generate content that sexualizes, endangers, or involves minors in any form. We apply reasonable prevention and detection measures: automated analysis of generated image and video results before delivery, and human review of findings and of reports received. But no automated moderation system catches 100% of abuse attempts at the moment they occur. Upon any violation detected — by our systems or by a third-party report — we act with immediate account suspension and reporting to the competent authorities when applicable (including NCMEC in cases of child sexual abuse material).
- Accounts with a personal presenter created before this update: if your account already had a personal presenter saved (created from a photo, before we discontinued that feature), you can still view, rename, or delete it from your library, but it is no longer possible to generate new content with it or to create new presenters from a photo.
- If you appear in content without your authorization: if you believe your voice, face, or likeness was used without your consent in content generated with Klippfy, write to [email protected]. We will review the case and, if confirmed, remove the content and act on the responsible account.
See also section 4 ("Acceptable use") of the Terms and Conditions.
5. Transparency about AI-generated or manipulated content
If you publish AI-generated content (images, video, or synthetic voice) that could be mistaken for real people, facts, or events, you are responsible for labeling it as AI-generated or manipulated when you publish or distribute it, to the extent the applicable regulation in your jurisdiction requires it (for example, Art. 50 of the European Union's AI Act, applicable from August 2, 2026). Klippfy may, in the future, add technical marking (such as metadata or watermarks) to generated content to help with that compliance.
6. AI-generated content and rights
Klippfy does not claim ownership of the clips, captions, or audio generated from your content — they are yours, under the terms of section 3 of the Terms and Conditions. At the same time, Klippfy cannot guarantee that generated content does not infringe third-party rights if the source material you uploaded already infringed them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service's AI models, providers, or features change. We will notify you by email or within the Service in the event of significant changes.
