DMCA / Content Takedown Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Klippfy respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid copyright infringement notices. This page describes our voluntary takedown process. [TO COMPLETE — legal decision]: if Klippfy registers a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office (copyright.gov/dmca-directory), this section may formally refer to the DMCA "safe harbor" (17 U.S.C. §512). Until that registration exists, this process is Klippfy's own voluntary commitment, not an invocation of the DMCA safe harbor.

1. How to request the takedown of a clip

If you are a copyright holder (or their legal representative) and believe a clip generated or hosted on Klippfy infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the following information (an incomplete notice may delay our response):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work (e.g. link to the original video, title).
  3. Identification of the clip on Klippfy that infringes it (URL or job ID).
  4. Your contact information (email, address, phone).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

2. What we do when we receive a valid notice

3. Counter-notice

If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected] that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed clip and its location before removal (URL or job ID).
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or the applicable one if you are outside the US) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
Notice regarding false statements. Anyone who knowingly submits a notice or counter-notice containing materially false statements may be liable for the damages caused, including costs and legal fees, under applicable law. Do not use this process to resolve disputes that are not genuinely about copyright.

4. Repeat infringers

We permanently suspend accounts that accumulate 3 confirmed infringement notices (i.e., notices not withdrawn via counter-notice nor due to Klippfy's own error) within a 12-month period. Before permanent suspension, we notify you by email upon reaching the second-to-last infringement before that threshold.
